The date for the 2013 Liverpool Half Marathon has been confirmed as Sunday, 17th March. Entries will be limited to 7,500 and it is hoped the start and finish will move to the Pier Head next year giving everyone a bit more space!! There will be a reduction of £2 to the normal entry fee of £28 / £30 to £26 and £28 respectively for entries received before July 31st. After this time the standard entry fee will apply until 31st October. From 1st November the entry fee will increase by £2 should entries still be available.
UKA License Confirmed.
For those of you who are keen on the official status of the event it is now confirmed that the Liverpool Half Marathon will have a UKA License this year and for the record the License Number is 2012/103683.
Anyone wishing to view the License can see it on display in the P.A. Unit on the day.
The Liverpool Half Marathon has enjoyed good increases in entries over the last two years and this growth has led to an opportunity for investment. For 2012 the race will have UKA affiliation and a technical T shirt for all finishers!
In addition, the event is now in a much stronger position to attract commercial sponsorship and will only hasten the investment and development programme. There is currently some keen commercial interest in the event for 2012 and hopefully we will be in a position to announce some exciting news very soon.
For those of you who have taken part previously it is pleasing that you may choose to take part once again – and for those of you who have yet to sample this excellent event we hope you will enjoy the whole race day experience and all that Liverpool has to offer.
