Entry terms & conditions for all btrLiverpool Ltd events
By entering any btrLiverpool Limited event you agree to abide by these Conditions of Entry and any race instructions given to you by the organisers and officials of the event.
Entry Fee
The entry fee is non-refundable once accepted. The event cannot consider personal circumstances or requests for refunds. No transfers between other btrLiverpool Limited events or transfer of places to another runner will be considered. It is not possible to defer entries from one year to the next.
The btrLiverpool Half Marathon and btrLiverpool Marathon are staged under UKA Rulings, Race Permits will be applied for in each case.
The events are managed and delivered by btrLiverpool Limited, 23 Hatton Garden, Liverpool L3 2FE.
Taking part in any btrLiverpool Limited event
By entering the event you acknowledge that you accept responsibility for any injury or accident which may occur whilst you train for, travel to or from the event, take part in or whilst on the event premises save to the extent any accident or injury which is caused by our negligence.
Personal health and fitness
You understand that participating in this event is potentially hazardous and you should NOT take part unless properly trained and capable of completing the full distance. It is your responsibility to make sure you are medically fit and capable of running the distance entered for.
btrLiverpool Limited reserves the right to stop any runner from taking part if deemed unfit to run, including removal whilst participating on the day.
Medical treatment while attending the event
By entering any btr event you are confirming that should you require medical treatment during your participation (before, during or after) then it will be administered by medically qualified staff representing the organisers.
Data protection
Personal details secured by btrLiverpool Limited as part of your entry procedure will only be used by btrLiverpool Limited and official third parties in connection with the event. By entering the event you grant full and irrevocable permission for btrLiverpool Limited to pass on any medical information you have provided that may be necessary on the day.
Standard wheelchairs, bicycles, stilts, roller skates, buggies and similar contraptions
The events are all classified as footraces (save for permissible wheelchair entries) and as such none of the contraptions mentioned above are allowed. Any attempt to use may result in the forcible removable of the items and disqualification of the individual.
Anyone attempting to start or join in the event in an outfit deemed unsuitable by btrLiverpool Limited will not be allowed. If you consider any outfit you wish to participate in falls into this category then please contact the event office in advance of the day for further clarification.
It is with regret that due to Health And Safety issues, standard wheelchairs may not be used in any event. Only appropriately adapted wheelchairs which are fit for racing may be used.
Event cancellation
btrLiverpool Limited reserves the right, in absolute discretion, to cancel, delay or postpone the event due to unforeseen circumstances out of reasonable control of btrLiverpool Limited.
In such cases btrLiverpool Limited will endeavour to inform participants as quickly as possible regarding the presiding situation. Should the event be cancelled, delayed or postponed due to circumstances outside the reasonable control of btrLiverpool Limited (including, for the avoidance of doubt, due to adverse weather conditions or as a result of instruction from the Emergency Services) btrLiverpool Limited will not be liable for any inconvenience, expenses, costs, losses or damages suffered by participants.
Where the event has to be cancelled, delayed or postponed due to circumstances that were within the reasonable control of btrLiverpool Limited, the entire liability will be limited to the entry fee that has been paid to take part.
Animals
Animals of any kind are not permitted to take part in the event including Guide Dogs for blind persons wishing to take part, btrLiverpool Limited will however provide a complimentary entry for guide runners.
UKA Ruling / Music Devices
For Health and Safety reasons you must not participate and use any personal entertainment listening devices. This is particularly important so as to allow any of the Emergency Services and their vehicles to operate safely in, on and around the course. As a consequence you need to be aware of your immediate surroundings at all times.
Race ejection
btrLiverpool Limited reserve the right, in absolute discretion, to refuse to allow any participation that may be considered to cause offence or injury to the participant, other participants or spectators. This includes the wearing of any clothing or visual messages that may cause offence to others. Failure to comply with any instruction from event officials will result in ejection from the race and possible intervention of Merseyside Police.
Disclaimer
Participation in an event is entirely at your own risk and by entering the event participants acknowledge that btrLiverpool Limited is NOT liable for injury, loss, death or damage arising from participation in the event save to the extent that it is caused by btrLiverpool Limited negligence. Participants entering the marathon accept that marathon running is for persons with a high degree of physical fitness and who have undertaken a lengthy and appropriate training regime. It is YOUR responsibility to seek appropriate medical advice prior to participation.
