Volunteers

You don’t want to run…..
well you can still get involved!

And btr would love to have you on board. The events we put on throughout the year rely heavily on volunteer support and there are lots of ways you can involved.

volunteer_image2Around the course there are water stations to manage, in the parks we use we need help to guide runners along the correct paths, at the start and finish we have to give out 1000s of medals, T shirts, foodstuff and drinks.

If you would like to get involved then register your interest via the contact page on this web site.

If you manage a group then you may be interested in bringing your team along to help out? btr pays £10 per head for group or club funds up to a limit of £150 for groups of ten or more. So if you want to supplement your club funds then why not come along.

Lunches are provided for groups and individuals.

In 2013 we will require volunteer support for the Liverpool half marathon (Sunday, 17th March), Port Sunlight 10K (Sunday, 19th May), Mersey Tunnel 10K (Sunday 9th June) and the Liverpool Santa Dash (Sunday, 1st December).

Just before the Santa Dash the marathon (Sunday, 13th October) is the most demanding event for numbers of volunteers and there are numerous roles that need filling by keen volunteers looking to be part of the marathon race day experience. These include:

  • Entertainment
  • Cheering points
  • Drink stations
  • Marshaling
  • Information / help desk

The marathon course starts in Birkenhead Park on Wirral, passes through the Queensway tunnel, heads up to Sefton and Princes Parks and then finishes at Pier Head.

You could get involved on either the Wirral or Liverpool side – or even both if you’re really keen!

If you would like to register your interest then use the contact facility on this web site or call 0151 236 8432.
