2022 Race Entry Fees

The last two years have been particularly difficult for events everywhere and over that time there has been a significant increase in the cost of delivering races. With events more or less stopping dead in their tracks in March 2020 and not really starting again until September 2021 the event industry has subsequently found itself saddled with a range of price increases for services and products.

The gap in between generated zero event income because there have not been any events.

Once events started again it was noticeable that there had been a significant increase in prices of medals and transportation, t shirts because of shortage of stock availability, event services such as stewarding, policing costs... you name it... it will have gone up in price.

For the six events hosted by BTR in 2021 the company has absorbed all increases in the costs of delivery.

In order to maintain the commercial viability and quality of BTR events it will be necessary to increase the entry fee of all events by £2 from 1st January 2022.

I would like to think that BTR has provided good value events over the years and has, at all times, attempted to keep entry fees as competitive as possible.

I would also like to reiterate that this increase is being introduced to cover operational and delivery costs only. It is not linked in any way to profitability.

I hope that you will continue to support the BTR race event portfolio in 2022 as we get ever nearer what we would all consider normal racing.
