APOLOGIES FOR THE CANCELLATION OF THE 2020 TOUR OF MERSEYSIDE

As you will know it was a difficult but necessary decision to cancel the 2020 Tour Of Merseyside.

However, with great optimism I am sure we will all be back with renewed energy and passion for this special week of running in 2021.

Everyone that entered to take part in the 2020 event, including deferrals from 2019 will automatically be transferred to 2021.

For anyone new wanting to enter the 2021 Tour then 50 places will be made available from 9.00am on 1st June 2020 via the BTR web site.

These will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

I look forward to seeing many of you at other BTR races in the meantime but mostly to seeing you all on the start line in Southport on 27th June 2021.

Wishing you all good health and fast times!

TOUR OF MERSEYSIDE / EVENT CANCELLATION 2020

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Dear Tourists, it is with great regret that I am obliged to announce the cancellation of the Tour Of Merseyside event this year due to the current global pandemic.

It is unclear at the moment just how long the Government's lock down arrangement will remain in place and furthermore there is no clarity on how long the exit strategy will extend or indeed how it will work.

So much so I am left with no alternative but to cancel the event given that the health and safety of all concerned must come first.

Everyone who was on the 2020 event database, including deferrals from last year will have their entry rolled over to next year. You don't need to do anything about this and I am afraid it is not possible to provide refunds.

Sorry to have to be the bearer of such disappointing news but we can all look forward to another fantastic Tour event in 2021.

kind regards

Alan Rothwell
