How can we help?
There are many questions raised before an event like the Wirral Mile / 10K event, here is a cross section of most asked questions...
WHEN WILL THE RESULTS BE AVAILABLE?
Race results are normally available shortly after the completion of the event. If you have supplied your mobile telephone number as part of the entry process then you will normally receive a text alert with your race time shortly after the conclusion of the event. Race results can be found on www.tdleventservices.co.uk or via the link on www.btrliverpool.com
CAN I WEAR AN IPOD OR MUSIC PLAYER?
In accordance with the UKA rules it is suggested that listening devices are not used during the race. BTR Limited can only advise that not wearing listening devices is in the interest of your personal safety. It is at your discretion should you choose to ignore this instruction.
WHERE IS THE RACE START?
The start and finish area is located on Coastal Drive in New Brighton. Access on race day is from the north end via the A554 / Harrison Drive as roads approaching the south end of New Brighton (from Wallasey) are closed on race day.
IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT?
The age limit for entering the 10K is 16 years on race day and 17 years for the Half Marathon.
IS THERE A LIMIT ON ENTRY NUMBERS?
There will be a cap of 2,000 runners in the 10 Mile and 750 in the 10K.
WHERE IS THE START LINE?
The start area is on Coastal Drive at New Brighton close to the Clown roundabaout on King's Parade. Coastal Drive is both the start and finish line.
Details regarding preferred parking locations will be confirmed nearer the time.
I HAVE ENTERED THE EVENT BUT UNABLE TO TAKE PART. CAN I HAVE MY MONEY BACK?
Unfortunately not. BTR Liverpool Limited operates a no refund, deferral or entry transfer policy. The terms and conditions of entry are listed on the web site at the point of online entry and on the printed entry form.
DO I HAVE TO RUN FOR CHARITY?
There is no obligation to raise money for charity. However, you are welcome to raise money for any charity of your choosing. You will need to contact your charity directly as the event does not provide sponsorship forms or charity information.
HOW DO I GET MY RACE PACK?
Race packs are sent out approximately three weeks before the event date.
ARE THE 10K AND 10 MILE RACES RUN AT THE SAME TIME?
Yes, both races start and finish at the same location and the event begins at 9.30am. Course details are on the COURSE section of this web site.
DO I GET A MEDAL WHEN I FINISH?
Everyone who completes the race is awarded an event medal and technical fabric T shirt.
IS THE COURSE TOUGH?
No. The course for both races is generally flat and fast so expect good times.
