Wednesday, 14th August.
Things are progressing well with the event planning and with a UKA License applied for (and confirmed) it just needs a final course measure to be arranged to complete the formalities. This will be done next Tuesday for both the half marathon and 10K distances.
It has only been necessary to introduce minor changes to the original course concept and they have been in relation to ensuring the accuracy of the course.
With the end of the main holiday period upon us there has been a noticeable increase in the event entries each day and several people have been on Facebook asking when the closing date for entries in.
I would advise early entry regardless of the official closing date (14th September) as with an initial small limit at 2,000 for the half marathon and 500 for the 10K the uptake is now at 1242 and 351 for the half marathon and 10K respectively as of this morning
So as you can see there are approximately 758 and 149 places left.
If all places are taken before the official closing date then there will not be any more places made available.
As the course measure is now arranged there will be a mile by mile guide to the two routes on THE COURSE section so take a look at what lies ahead for you on 13th October.
Good luck with your training and hopefully some of you will take a test run on the course before race day – now you know where you will be running.
