FAQs

Can I defer my entry or request a refund?

If you would like to make any changes to your entry, such as update your address or transfer between events or to a different person, you are able to do this up 6 weeks prior to the event. To make changes please log into your events portal via the ‘View Booking’ link in your confirmation email.  Please see our full Ts&Cs for more information.

Should a participant not be able to take part in an event and they wish to volunteer at the event instead, BTR Liverpool will provide a complimentary entry into the event for the following calendar year on confirmation of the participants attendance on event day. If you wish to volunteer in order to defer your entry, please contact info@btrliverpool.com. It is the responsibility of the participant to ensure their volunteer registration is confirmed on the day. If your entry is a complimentary entry or you have a charity place you may not be able to defer to the following year. Complimentary places do not qualify for a deferral. Any changes to charity entries must be discussed with the charity with whom you purchased your place. Deferred entries are non-transferable and can only be deferred to the following year's race and cannot be rolled over to another year. Once your deferral request is confirmed the place becomes non-refundable.

How old do you need to be to enter?

As the race is held under UKA License, the age limit for entries is the following

  • 10K - 15 years old on race day
  • Half Marathon 17 years on race day.
  • Marathon 18 years on race day
Can I run for charity?

Yes you can. There is no obligation for you to do so as a condition of entry but you are welcome to fund raise if you wish.

Do I get a medal?

Yes. Everyone who completes the course on the day will receive a medal and a technical T shirt.

Is the course accurate?

Yes it is. As the event is staged under UKA License the course is accurate to 13.1 miles and has a UKA Course Measure Certificate confirming the accuracy of the course.

What is the closing date for entries?

The closing date for entries is normally two weeks before race date. Entries will remain open for longer if numbers are available.

If entries are available during the last two weeks then the online facility will remain in place. If not it will clearly state ENTRIES CLOSED.

Entries will still be taken during the last two weeks (if available) but NOT posted out due to the inconsistent nature of Royal Mail deliveries.

If you enter during the last two weeks then you can collect your race pack in person from the event office or on race morning.

Is there a cut off time to finish?

Normally there would be a time of 3 hours to complete the course but as the last four miles are off the public highway with runners returning along the promenade, it is not imposed. It should be noted however that the Marina access bridge at approximately 11.5 miles will be in operation from around midday to allow yacht craft out on the river. This may impede you if you have not crossed this location within 3 hours.
