This popular autumn race has a flat and fast course, perfect for participants of all abilities. So, whether you're aiming to set a new PB, raise money for charity, or try something new, join us in Wirral for a great event!
Why run this event?
With the start and finish line located on Ian Fraser Walk, the Wirral 10K route takes runners along the seafront, starting on Coastal Drive and taking runners towards the Seacombe Ferry Terminal, giving you the best view of the Liverpool city skyline. Here, the route loops around to head back towards New Brighton for the finish line.
With this flat course, the Wirral 10K is accessible for participants of all abilities, so we invite you to walk, jog, run, or wheel your way around the route.

Entry information:
Entrants must be aged 15 or over on the day of the event to take part.
Race Number Information
The deadline for postal entries is after 21st September.
If you registered after this date, or if you do not receive your race number by post for any reason, you can collect it from our Race Office from 7.30am.
Entries outside the UK
If you are taking part and have a postal address outside mainland UK then you can collect your race number from the enquiry tent on race morning.
You will be emailed directly about this prior to the race date.
On the day Information
Baggage
There will be some storage for baggage at the start/finish line.
Hydration stations
There will be water stations along the course that will be handing out bottles of water. For specific locations, see the route map.
Medical
There is a first aid station at the start/ finish line, as well as roaming first aiders around the event area.
Toilets
There will toilets situated at the start/finish area of the race.

Travel
Getting to the start / finish area
Please be aware that engineering works on the Merseyrail network will affect rail services into Liverpool city centre on event day.
Northern Line services
- Trains travelling from the north will terminate at Sandhills.
- Trains travelling from the south will terminate at Hunts Cross.
- Replacement bus services will operate from both Sandhills and Hunts Cross to help passengers continue their journey into the city centre.
Wirral Line services
- All Wirral Line services will operate from James Street Station on event day.
We strongly encourage all participants and spectators travelling by rail to plan their journey in advance and allow extra travel time on event day. Please check the latest travel information with Merseyrail before setting off.
The start and finish area can be found on Coastal Drive in New Brighton and on the day traffic is required to access the event area via Harrison Drive as the south end of New Brighton is closed to traffic on race day.
FROM THE M53, JUNCTION 1 follow the A554 road towards New Brighton.
At the roundabout junction where the A554 merges with Harrison Drive take the first exit towards the river front.
At the next roundabout take a right hand turn on to Coastal Drive where race day parking will be available.
The start and finish area is just after the car parking area.

FAQs
Race results are normally available shortly after the completion of the event. If you have supplied your mobile telephone number as part of the entry process then you will normally receive a text alert with your race time shortly after the conclusion of the event. Race results can be found on www.tdleventservices.co.uk or via the link on www.btrliverpool.com
In accordance with the UKA rules it is suggested that listening devices are not used during the race. BTR Limited can only advise that not wearing listening devices is in the interest of your personal safety. It is at your discretion should you choose to ignore this instruction.
The start and finish area is located on Coastal Drive in New Brighton. Access on race day is from the north end via the A554 / Harrison Drive as roads approaching the south end of New Brighton (from Wallasey) are closed on race day.
The age limit for entering the 10K is 15 years on race day.
There will be a cap of 750 in the 10K.
Unfortunately not. BTR Liverpool Limited operates a no refund, deferral or entry transfer policy. The terms and conditions of entry are listed on the web site at the point of online entry and on the printed entry form.
There is no obligation to raise money for charity. However, you are welcome to raise money for any charity of your choosing. You will need to contact your charity directly as the event does not provide sponsorship forms or charity information.
Race packs are sent out approximately three weeks before the event date.
Everyone who completes the race is awarded an event medal and technical fabric T-shirt.
No. The course is generally flat and fast so expect good times.
