The Liverpool Santa Dash is back in 2026 - a festive favourite for all ages, participants take to the streets of Liverpool in their Santa suits for the annual celebration.
MAIN 5K
The Liverpool Santa Dash is hosted as a fun run and as such does not impose an age restriction. Anyone can enter but the entry fee is the same for all ages (£26).
The adult Santa suit is one size fits all. For younger entrants there are two sizes available age 5 - 8 years and 9 -14 years. Santa suits are not provided for under 5 years of age. Everyone taking part in the main 5K is required to the pay the same entry fee. There are no concession prices.
MINI DASH 1K
This a separate event which starts at approximately 11.00am on Castle Street.
This is a 1K run for children up to 12 years of age. Parents / Guardians can run with their children and do not need to enter. If you have entered the main 5K then you can also accompany your child around the course. There is a separate Mini Dash 1K medal for all children taking part.

IF YOU ENTER THE MINI DASH 1K THEN YOU CANNOT TAKE PART IN THE MAIN 5K.
Entries
- The standard red suit entry fee is £26 Adult Santa suits are one size only.
- The standard blue suit entry fee is £28. Adult Santa suits are one size only.
- The standard Mini Dash entry fee is £15. Child Santa suits are available in ages 5 - 8 years and 9 -14 years. Child suits are available in red only.
There is also an additional small fee to pay when entering online.

Race Number/Santa Suit Collection Information
IMPORTANT COLLECTION INFORMATION
You are required to provide a physical collection card you were posted. Photocopy of the number or email won’t suffice
Someone else can collect on your behalf but they must have the physical collection card
You must wear your wristband on event day or you will not receive a medal.
There will be no collections on the day.
Once your entry is accepted
All online entries (before 1st November) will be contacted by post. The event number, event information and Santa suit collection card will be sent to you and you will have between 1st November up to Saturday 6th December to collect your Santa suit from the pop up shop.

It is your responsibility to collect your Santa suit and medal wristband from the shop which is open seven days a week during the collection period. The physical card is required and needs to be handed in in return for the Santa suit. If you are unable to attend to collect in person, then anyone else can collect on your behalf but they will need the collection card. Phone images of the collection card are not accepted.
Online Entries
Online entries will remain open after 1st November until MONDAY 17th NOVEMBER and your event information, race number and Santa suit collection card will be send out by return post. From Monday 17th November it will only be possible to enter in person at the event pop up shop.
Wristbands
When collecting the Santa suit a wristband will be given to you along with the event Goody Bag content. It is your responsibility to keep the wristband safe and please do not forget the wristband on the day of the event.
The wristband is to be handed in at the finish line for your finisher's medal. Without the wristband you will not be given a medal. This is clearly stated on the signs at the finish funnels.
You do not need a wristband for the Mini Dash 1K event.

Yes, the Santa Dash is a 5K fun run and classified as such. It is open to everyone and children under the age of 12 can take part in the 5K but they will need to pay the full entry fee. the Mini Dash is specifically for children up to the age of 12 and there is a reduced entry fee for the 1K.
No, everyone who takes part in the Santa Dash will receive a Santa suit.
Afraid not. The entry fee is standard even if you have your own suit or wish to run in another festive costume.
No, there isn't a time limit to complete the 5K distance. The theme of the day is about participation and enjoyment. Competitive running is discouraged.
No, the Santa Dash is not timed as it is not a competitive race. It's a fun run.
You need to hand in your wristband at the finish line to indicate that you are a legitimate entrant in the race. The Cadets who distribute the medals at the finish are instructed to hand out medals only to official entrants.
